Spring is a season of momentum.
Across Zionsville Community Schools, classrooms are full, stages are active, fields are busy, and students are on the verge of big milestones. It is a time when the work of an entire school year comes into focus, and the impact of that work is seen in memorable ways.
In the weeks ahead, we will continue to celebrate our seniors as they prepare to graduate, recognizing not only their accomplishments, but the journey that brought them to this moment. You will also see the continued growth of programs like Unified Champions, where inclusion, connection, and belonging are lived out in powerful ways across our schools.
This season brings performances, competitions, and celebrations. It also brings reflection. We see students stepping forward with confidence and a community that continues to support and uplift our schools.
In May, our ZCS School Board of Trustees will also take time to recognize the people behind this work. We will celebrate our building Teachers of the Year, name the ZCS District Teacher of the Year, and honor staff for their years of service and upcoming retirements. These moments are a reminder that the strength of our schools is built through the dedication and care of our people.
In this edition of ZCS Digest, you will find stories that capture the ZCS energy. As we move closer to the end of the school year, we invite you to follow along, celebrate with us, and watch for special graduation features and end-of-year highlights that reflect the heart of our district.
Thank you for your continued support of Zionsville Community Schools.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rebecca Coffman

Unified Champions Preschool Game Day 2026
A Place to Play. A Place to Belong.
Smiles, bubbles, obstacle courses, tunnels, and trampolines filled the room during the annual Unified Preschool Game Day, creating a space where every student could participate, explore, and belong.
From navigating obstacle courses to crawling through tunnels, bouncing on trampolines, and rolling down mats, students participated in activities designed to spark joy while encouraging confidence.
More than just a day of fun, Unified Preschool Game Day reflected the power of inclusion at an early age. This special day created opportunities for students to connect, celebrate one another, and experience the simple but special feeling of being part of something together.
Across every station, the message was clear: everyone belongs.

Education Signing Day for ZCHS Seniors
ZCHS seniors pursuing education degrees in college participated in the the school’s first Education Majors Signing Day.
Seniors who plan to pursue education participated in a celebration recognizing those who have chosen to pursue careers in teaching.
The event brought together students, families, cadet teachers, college representatives, and educators to recognize the impact of the education profession. Seniors officially marked the beginning of their journey into education by signing their commitments and celebrating alongside those who helped inspire their path.
The event served as both a recognition of student achievement and a tribute to the educators who shaped their experiences along the
