LEBANON — Boone County has appointed Nick Parr as its new Director of Administration, the county announced January 9. Parr, a lifelong Boone County resident and 2000 graduate of Western Boone High School, brings nearly two decades of county service to the role.
Background
Parr began his career with the Boone County Highway Department in 2006 and held multiple positions before being named Director of Highways, a role he held for the past five years. The county said he led initiatives to strengthen infrastructure and ensure efficient transportation across the county during that time.
As Director of Administration, Parr will work with the Boone County Commissioners on day-to-day operations and on coordination among elected officials, department leaders, vendors, and partner agencies.
“I’m excited to begin this new chapter as Boone County’s Director of Administration,” Parr said in the announcement. “Working closely with the Commissioners and our local partners, I’m eager to build strong relationships and keep lines of communication open so we can continue serving our community in the best way possible.”
Boone County Commissioner Scott Pell called Parr a natural fit. “Nick Parr understands Boone County because he has lived it, worked in it, and helped build it. His proven leadership, work ethic, and commitment to public service give us great confidence that he will excel in this role.”
