Whitestown, IN [April 8, 2026] – In celebration of Earth Day, the Whitestown community is invited to come together to plant trees for the Planting for Tomorrow event. It will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to participate in planting trees that will enhance the natural beauty of Whitestown. Volunteers will work alongside the Whitestown Parks Maintenance Team to plant non-invasive trees that are carefully selected to complement the existing environment.
“Tree planting plays an important role in improving air quality, providing shade, supporting wildlife, and creating a more welcoming environment,” said Assistant Town Manager/Director of Parks, Dominic Cornett. “This event brings our community together to make a meaningful and lasting impact.”
Volunteers are asked to bring shovels, gloves, and other supplies to assist in planting the trees.
