Whitestown PD investigation in Snapchat exploitation case

WHITESTOWN — A Bargersville man has been preliminarily charged in a Snapchat child-exploitation case investigated by the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department, according to court documents reported by Fox59.

Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department received five cyber tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) — the national clearinghouse for cases of child exploitation. According to the report, all five tips alleged exploitation of girls on Snapchat.

The suspect, identified by Fox59 as Dick M. Dean, 28, of Bargersville, has been preliminarily charged in connection with the case. As with any criminal case, charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
